"Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”

ABOUT ME
I am an Integrative Counsellor, trained in Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Relational, Attachment and Couples Therapies. My background is in Nursing and complementary therapies and I believe that it is important to respond to the whole person, as well as to the obvious difficulties presented. I am passionate about the work I do and have dedicated several decades of my life to an ongoing study of the best approaches that help people overcome emotional difficulties and to live their lives to their fullest potential and fulfilment. I offer both short term and open-ended counselling using an approach which integrates psychodynamic therapy, (how past experiences influence present behaviour, feelings, perceptions and choices), with relational, attachment and cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT).
As a BACP accredited counsellor with more than twenty years of experience in counselling adults in private, charity and Employee Assistance Programme settings and having my own experience of personal therapy, (a requirement of my training and ongoing commitment to personal development,) I understand how important it is to find the right counsellor to help you. For this reason, I offer the first session of one hour, free of charge and £50 per hour thereafter. This initial session allows us to meet one another and to decide whether we would feel comfortable working together in future.
